The hiring company is a design, engineering, and manufacturing firm located in the Northeast U.S. The company has been an industry leader in the design, development, testing and manufacture of high efficiency, low emission combustion systems for the power & transportation industries since 1980.

The company is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Product Line Managers who will be responsible for the product engineering and sales of a new, innovative diesel engine SCR system for mobile applications. The position will provide vision and leadership in achieving business growth, sales and customer satisfaction. Education, Experience & Skills Required for the Position The candidate should have the following:

- BS Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Electrical Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in leading air pollution control technology development, deployment on mobile diesel on-road and off-road engines.
- Strong technical knowledge of ECU’s, engine controls, catalysts, fluid injection, mapping, NOx sensors and other essential components of an SCR system.
- Technical knowledge of air pollution control and low emissions transportation technologies being developed and commercialized now.
-Familiarity with design tools and testing protocols used in the exhaust and emission treatment industry and EPA ETV verification program will be an advantage.
- Strong network and contacts within the automotive, trucking, fuels, engine manufacturing, engine controls and components, exhaust after-treatment products, mobile source emission control, and fuel economy testing communities.
- Entrepreneurial and proven achiever skills with ability to develop and implement sales plans and maintain budgets.
- Sales & business development experience, technical engineering skills and strong business acumen.
- Technical knowledge of the various on road and off road diesel engines and CAN controls.

Purpose & Responsibilities of the Position General Management As Product Line Manager for the new system, the individual will be responsible for sales and product engineering. The candidate will supervise and control the budgets for product engineering and administrative personnel including sub-contractors that support all aspects of engineering and ensure sales and product-line profitability. The individual will take the lead in the continued development of the technology.

Specific Position Responsibilities

- Lead the diesel SCR business segment, develop sales strategy, and lead sales and proposal team in pursuit of bid opportunities and development of projects.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for the product line.
-Responsible for client relations including: initial presentations, developing client relationships, identifying key sales issues, technical proposal writing, terms & conditions and closing the sale.
- Communicate project technical requirements to Engineering and Field Service personnel after contract has been signed. Provide technical assistance and support to customers during demonstrations, project execution and start-up.
- Lead negotiations with customers, alliance partners, suppliers, etc. and interact with internal project management resources to respond to specific customers needs.
- Work closely with engineering to ensure development work is focused on market needs.
- Provide input to engineering and management on competing technologies, and suggestions on improvement to make the product more competitive, thus increasing market share and profitability.
